A Steady, Experienced Guide for Real-Life Practice
I’m Lyndsey Stewart, a yoga teacher with over 15 years of teaching experience and a lifelong personal practice.
I came to yoga long before it became mainstream, and I’ve stayed with it because of what it offers beneath the surface — steadiness, clarity, and a way to meet life with more awareness and ease.
My work is shaped not just by training and certification, but by lived experience: injury, recovery, emotional change, ageing, teaching hundreds of students, and continuing to show up to my own mat through all of it.
My Approach to Yoga
I don’t teach yoga as a workout or a performance.
I teach yoga as a practice of relationship — with the body, the breath, the nervous system, and the mind.
My classes are:
- breath-led and intelligently sequenced
- supportive rather than forceful
- grounded in nervous system awareness
- adaptable for injury, recovery, and real life
- rooted in consistency rather than intensity
I believe yoga should support you over time, not ask you to push beyond your limits for quick results.
Experience & Background
I’ve been teaching yoga for over 15 years and practicing for much longer. Over the years I’ve:
- taught in studios, village halls, and online
- supported students through injury and recovery
- guided long-term practitioners and beginners alike
- trained, qualified and mentored yoga teachers
- continued my own study and personal practice
Teacher training, for me, is not the end of learning — it’s the beginning of deeper responsibility. I remain a student of yoga, continually learning from practice and from the people I teach.
Why I Teach Live Online
Live teaching matters.
It allows me to:
- offer real-time guidance and options
- create a sense of presence and connection
- hold a steady, supportive container
Online doesn’t have to mean impersonal.
When done thoughtfully, it can be grounding, accessible, and deeply effective.
